Treatment Plant System Up for Bid

King County, WA, is seeking contractors interested in performing modifications and painting at the West Point Treatment Plant, located in Seattle.

Bids are due Dec.13.

Scope of Work

Work will include furnishing and installation of an aerator system in addition to performing upgrades to the plant's existing Oxygen Generation and Dissolution System.

Contractors bidding on a project to paint the West Point Treatment Plant Oxygenation and Dissolution System, along with other modifications, should have bids in to King County, WA, by Dec. 13.

Ferrous metal surfaces will require surface preparation to White Metal (SSPC-SP 5) followed by shop priming.

Non-ferrous and galvanized metal will receive a pressure wash with a cleaning solution followed by surface preparation to SSPC-SP 7.

Non-immersed metal will require preparation to White Metal (SSPC-SP 5), Hand Tool (SSPC-SP 2), Bare Metal (SSPC SP-11) or Brush-Off Blast-Cleaning (SSPC-SP 7) finishes.

Exposed metal surfaces will require an epoxy primer, stripe coat, intermediate and finish.

Work also includes an alternative two coat epoxy system. The specified brands include Devoe, Sherwin-Williams, Tnemec, Kelly Moore and Ameron.
