Scope of Work
The contractor will perform interior and exterior surface preparation and re-coating of each 2-million-gallon tank.
The Bethany East Tank will require exterior abrasive blast-cleaning to a Near White finish (SSPC-SP 10) and recoating on the roof and exterior bottom. The exterior side walls will receive a pressure wash before application of an overcoat with a three-coat system. The interior wet and dry surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to a Near White finish (SSPC-SP 10), followed by coating application.
The Bethany West Tank’s exterior roof will be abrasive blast-cleaned to Near White (SSPC-SP 10) and recoated. The exterior bottom and side walls will receive pressure washing, followed by an overcoat. All interior wet and dry surfaces will require pressure-washing and inspection services.
The owner-specified coating manufacturers for the zinc-epoxy-urethane system include Tnemec, Induron, and Sherwin-Williams.
Containment is necessary. Draping of the tank exteriors will be required for all tank exterior surface preparation and coating operations.
