Bids Requested to Paint 2.5MG Water Tank

The City of Fernley, NV, is seeking contractors for the cleaning and recoating of its Northeast Water Storage Tank.

The cost is estimated at $368,000.

Bids are due Feb. 22.

Scope of Work

This project involves cleaning and recoating interior and exterior surfaces of the existing 2.5-million-gallon water storage tank.

Contractors interested in the job of cleaning and recoating of a 2.5-million-gallon water storage tank in Fernley, NV, should have bids in by Feb. 22.

Contractors will abrasive blast-clean interior steel surfaces and appurtenances to Near White (SSPC-SP 10). All surfaces will then be coated with an epoxy system.

Exterior steel surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6), and bare steel areas will be coated with an epoxy system, followed by a polyurethane topcoat.

The owner-approved manufacturers for both systems are Carboline, ICI Devoe and Sherwin-Williams.
