NDDOT is seeking contractors interested in painting the structural steel members of the Grant Marsh Bridge in Burleigh and Morton Counties, ND.

The work includes removing existing coatings from the structure, which contain lead and may contain materials in high enough concentrations to produce hazardous waste after removal. The contractor will be responsible for abating, containing, storing and transporting these materials for disposal.

The steel will then be abrasive blast-cleaned to commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6) prior to coating application. Steel surfaces will be prepared and repainted with a three-coat organic zinc rich paint system. Paint coats should be applied within twenty-four hours of cleaning.

Contractors must possess current SSPC QP1 and SSPC QP2 certification at the time of the bid and must maintain that certification throughout the duration of the contract.
