Possible long term work in Newport News, VA. All new construction, building navy ships and submarines. Work could be inside or outside. Up to $96.00 a day per diem available for employees that live 75 miles from the job. Must be available to work any shift.

Individuals must be familiar with all types of blasting techniques and have the ability to operate and maintain all blasting equipment. They must be familiar with the blasting requirements cited in the Steel Structure Painting Council (SSPC) as they apply. They must be able to perform all types of blasts (white, near white, commercial and sweep). They must be familiar with surface profiles as defined in the SSPC and/or NACE manuals for surface preparations. These individuals must know the proper use of all blasting gear and apparel. They must be able to read and understand paint specifications. They must be familiar with the safety requirements pertaining to systems and machinery they work on. Must be familiar with high-pressure blast equipment such as 600 lb. and 6-ton blast pots.
