Mid Sized engineering firm is looking for an experienced Pipeline Corrosion Engineer in Denver, Colorado for a six month contract to hire position.
The ideal candidate will possess a background in the Gas Transmission and Distribution, Oil and Gas or the Nuclear Power industry. You should have piping and/or corrosion engineering, and field related experience as further described in the technical qualifications section below.
Ideal candidate:
- Strong foundation in pipeline engineering fundamentals (overpressure protection, design, etc.)
- Fundamental understanding of cathodic protection
- Familiar with codes/standards applicable to pipeline corrosion and inspection (ASTM, API, ASME, NACE, etc.)
- NACE certifications desired: Pipeline Integrity, Cathodic Protection or Coatings
- Experienced Project Manager in managing scope, schedule, resources, and project budgets
- Must be willing to work periodically within a nuclear power plant setting when performing work or interacting with clients while on-site
- Must be able to satisfy NRC Fitness for Duty (FFD) requirements, and qualify for “Unescorted Access” authorization into US nuclear power plants
