DEALER SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The Dealer Sales Representative will be responsible for the sales and service of products in an assigned territory to paint and wallpaper stores, hardware stores, building supply and home center stores. The sales representative will utilize outside selling and organizational skills to prospect and develop new key accounts, and will implement and coordinate all company programs in order to maximize sales effectiveness.
Responsibilities include: Grow existing accounts by utilizing all current marketing programs. Sell additional brands/product lines as well as related products. Train dealer personnel on products, merchandising and equipment. Assist the dealer with outside sales support as well as architectural support. Identify any existing dealer as a candidate for the Authorized Dealer Program Present ideas to expand services available to present customers. Handle dealer and consumer complaints quickly and efficiently. Coordinate activity with the credit department to assist as necessary. Monitor and evaluate advertising budgets and usage. Help plan and implement dealer trade events. Maintain current information of competitive product and activity.
Requirements College degree preferred, or 5 years related experience Two to four years relevant sales experience, preferably some outside selling Effective communication skills, presentation skills, organizational skills Computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word.
