The technical service /development chemist will provide hands-on laboratory support to solve customer problems and generate innovative technical solutions that support current business and generate new business growth opportunities. Specific duties include: -Conducting physical property evaluations and performance tests as required to support business in the Oilfield markets, (e.g. viscosity measurements, cloud points, solubilities, foaming, fluid loss, corrosion, demulsification, etc.) -Assisting in the building, installation, and maintenance of specialized equipment designed for oilfield applications (e.g. ISCO pumps, Swagelok fittings, accumulators, pressure vessels, relief devices, vacuum pumps, etc). -Drafting procedures for running and maintaining equipment per BASF ecology and safety standards. -Generating information and preparing reports and presentations for use internally and at customers. - Assisting in the development of new products for the Oilfield industry.
