Ocean Steel Corporation, based in Conklin, New York, is seeking a career minded individual for the position of Welding Inspector.

Ocean Steel was founded in 1955 and has operated the Conklin plant since 2004. We supply structural steel throughout the northeast.

Responsibilities:

Daily inspection of all aspects of structural steel fabrication, including:

• Visual inspection of welds
• Dimensional checks
• Inspection of surface preparation and coatings

Education Requirements – Knowledge & Skills:

• Certification as a CWI by the American Welding Society
• Experience with MP and UT inspection would be a definite asset
• Certification as a NACE or SSPC coatings inspector would be an asset
