Global, Fortune 500 company that supplies atmospheric, process and specialty gases, high-performance coatings, and related services and technologies We are currently seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler that will be based either Northern or Southern, California or in our Salt Lake City, UT (Garfield) location. This position will report to the Reliability Center Superintendent in Garfield, UT and will work with the North American Industrial Gases (NAIG) Regional Reliability team to achieve strategic reliability goals within the Region.

The overall objective of the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of production facilities at the lowest life cycle cost. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will be a key driver in optimally executing the outage planning process within the region and will be responsible for the development of plans and work schedules for outages and significant reliability projects. This person will be expected to work independently and make decisions and recommendations as needed, in consultation with appropriate resources.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Lead the execution of outage planning process within the region
  2. Create outage plans in MS Project for outages and significant reliability projects within the region
  3. Complete detailed planning for prioritized outage tasks, in consultation with subject matter experts as needed
  4. Ensure all projected and prioritized preventive, predictive, project, overhaul and corrective tasks requiring outages are included in outage plan.
  5. Ensure completeness of final outage plans - including labor, parts, contractor services, tools, equipment, documents, permits and associated costs to safely, efficiently and effectively complete tasks.
  6. Ensure accurate estimating of time and costs for outage plans.
  7. Ensure timely and accurate procurement and expediting of all parts, equipment and services to execute outages on schedule
  8. Create job plans for significant outage tasks and publish for future use
  9. Assist plant management in prioritizing outage work during the planning process
  10. Communicate and publish outage schedules as needed
  11. Schedule and conduct post-outage review activities
  12. Monitor planning KPI and assist in identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement
  13. Communicate and assist in resolving high impact issues with a strong sense of urgency and integrity.

This position requires a combination of office work and field work. This position typically requires accessibility during off-hours and up to 40% travel domestically. Employee will be required to work in different weather conditions and must be able to access elevated electrical and mechanical equipment via ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts and crane baskets.
