Stirling Lloyd is a well-known and respected manufacturer of bridge deck waterproofing and tunnel waterproofing systems, with an established reputation for high quality products, service and technical support. Established for over 30 years, Stirling Lloyd continues to invest heavily in research and development and, as a result, continues to expand its product range resulting in expanding sales potential and career development. We now have a genuine opportunity for a hardworking, committed individual to sell the company’s specialist coatings and structural protection systems into the civil engineering industry. The Role: The successful candidate will operate from Stirling Lloyd’s offices in Newington, CT, but will be expected to spend a significant amount of time out of state. In return for a competitive remuneration package the successful candidate’s duties will include: • Promotion of Stirling Lloyd’s products & services to DOTs, specifying engineers and architects in assigned territories. • Increasing sales to existing customers and developing sales of new & existing products in new territories. • Spending time in the territories developing relations with clients and customers. • Identifying and appointing applicators of Stirling Lloyd’s materials. • Negotiating orders with Stirling Lloyd applicators and general contractors. • Preparing proposals, specifications and commercial strategies as may be required to achieve profitable sales to meet targets. • Identifying new customer needs and opportunities for Stirling Lloyd. • Becoming established as a valuable and indispensable part of the Stirling Lloyd team. Our Requirements: • The ideal candidate will have experience in specification selling with a proven track record in sales. • Key attributes associated with this role include being gregarious with excellent people skills, confident and competitive. Candidates should also be tenacious with excellent presentation skills. • Candidates should be excited by the opportunity of joining an ambitious and expanding company, have the drive to succeed and a professional approach towards sales.
