Title: Sr. Corrosion Engineer
Environment: Field offices with possibility of visiting rigs if needed Project: Corrosivity from wellhead to export facilities Reports Directly to: the Materials Engineering Manager Interfaces with: Teams over mechanical design, flow assurance, fabrication and production
Job Description: Use expertise in gas and fluid stream chemistry and related corrosivity from wellhead to export facilities Identify and/or define criticality, and performance risk for production system components Corrosion mitigation measures for topside and subsea facilities Material degradation mechanisms Production of chemistry as related to corrosion control mitigation measures Corrosion inhibitor selection and testing Corrosion management inspection and monitoring Verify status of corrosion defects, and anomalies per mechanical integrity through the life cycle. Interface with other important areas via mechanical design, flow assurance, fabrication and production. Effectively analyze data and present recommendations to peers and management Initiate and progress multiple tasks with minimal supervision Work effectively across technology functions and within multi-disciplinary teams Authorize reports for issue Supervise staff and allocate work to engineers Maintain reimbursability throughout the year Develop and support staff business / technical mentoring system Develop and submit proposals Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Manage reports Business development Foster goodwill amongst IONIKs clients Manage small to medium-sized projects Provide consultancy internally and externally on specialist engineering discipline Authorize issue of proposals Compliance with the companys Quality and HSE policies Achieve company goals / personal KPIs Involvement with industry associations and academic institutions Understand and working business awareness for the development and application of innovative solutions in these areas of technology is helpful Strong networking and influencing skills to capture knowledge and best practice from other operations
MUST HAVES: 1. 5 years SUBSEA experience 2. Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy 3. Min of 7 years of experience Corrosion Engineer 4. Expertise in corrosivity testing and inspection 5. 7 plus years of Metallurgy experience 6. Experience supervising a staff and allocating work to engineers 7. Ability to travel 25% onshore offshore Gulf of Mexico region 8. Able to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship
DESIRED: 1. 10 years of experience as an Corrosion Engineer 2. MS degree or PHD
