Muehlhan North America seeks Marine Coating Superintendents for its high performance teams located in Navy Regions Northwest, Southwest and Pacific supporting US Navy Ship/Submarine corrosion control projects.
Superintendent Will have a minimum of fifteen years verifiable US Navy ship/submarine coating Superintendent Experience. Must have previously held SSPC C7, C12, C14 certification. Must have current SSPC PCI, NBPI or NACE I certification. Additional desirable certifications are Project Management, Quality Control Supervisor, PCS, or other management certifications. Must be familiar with ALL aspects of dry abrasive blasting, spray application of high tech marine coatings, and marine coatings inspection in a US Navy ship/submarine repair environment. Must be intimately familiar with managing ALL aspects of US Navy preservation work. Must be intimately familiar with NAVSEA Standard Items and associated Coating QA Appendix forms, NSTM Chapter 631 and 634, SUBMEPP Preservation Maintenance Standard, SSPC Standards, NACE Standards, ASTM and ISO Documents, etc. Knowledge of US Navy contract management, regulations and requirements is a must. Must have skill in managing multiple jobs at multiple locations, developing and monitoring production metrics as they relate to budget and schedule. Planning and executing work through subordinate supervisors of high performance teams is essential. Must have the capability and capacity to plan, mobilize, execute, and demobilize a job site on budget and on schedule. Must have experience setting up, trouble shooting, and operating blast equipment, high pressure spray equipment, and coating inspection instruments and associated software/hardware.
