As part of our continuous growth strategy, Jotun Paints, Inc. is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our Operations Team at our Belle Chasse, LA Manufacturing facility.
The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the management of the purchasing department and will have full accountability for the performance of the purchasing team as to achieve its overall objectives related to profitability, service and quality in order to improve customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for the purchasing of raw materials and indirect materials to meet the demands from sales, production and internal customers.
Monitor and control the purchasing process to make sure the local purchasing is in line with the Global and Regional process.
Key liaison with inter-department for problem solving or other improvement projects.
Maintain and update ISO procedure to ensure the standards and procedures are followed.
Motivate, develop and train the purchasing team to ensure they are equipped with the required skills to perform their functions.
Provide full support to Regional Purchasing in related tasks including roll-out of supplier audits, vendor assessments, sourcing of raw materials and indirect materials and improvement work.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 7 years experience, excellent communication skills, and experience with Microsoft Office.
