Bid Notice Sealed bids will be received for re-bid of various trade packages for Sycamore Public Library Exterior Remediation Project #1104 until 11:30 am, prevailing time, on Thursday, March 29, 2012, by the Board of Trustees of the Sycamore Public Library, City of Sycamore, County of DeKalb, State of Illinois. All bids received after said date and time shall not be considered and returned unopened. Sealed bids are to be turned in at the office of the Construction Manager (CM) Swedberg & Associates, Inc. 1135 E. State Street, Sycamore, IL 60178 on or before the above time. Bids will be opened publicly and contents announced at 2:00 pm at the Sycamore Public Library, 1st Floor Board Room, 103 East State Street, Sycamore, IL, 60178. All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished in the Bidding Documents. The project will be re-bid as separate trade contracts as follows: BP #7AB-1104-ER Roofing and Architectural Sheet Metal, and BP #7C-1104-ER EIFS. Each Bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Bidding and Contract Documents. Bids shall be submitted on or before the specified closing time in an opaque sealed envelope marked Sycamore Public Library Exterior Remediation Project #1104, Bid Package ____________ on the outside and addressed to: Ms. Sarah Tobias, Executive Director, Sycamore Public Library, 103 East State Street, Sycamore, IL, 60178. Note that above bids are turned in to CM 's office. Bids may be held for a period of 90 days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders prior to awarding the contracts. Bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check made payable to Swedberg & Associates, Inc. equal to 10% of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful bidder. The Board of Trustees of the Sycamore Public Library reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding procedures and to award the contracts in a manner serving the interest of the Library. Additionally they reserve the right to amend the bid documents, including the plans and specifications, Scope of Work Notes and Supplemental Conditions, at any time prior to the bid opening, with reasonable notice to the bid package holders. This project is subject to the State of Illinois Prevailing Wage requirements for Sycamore Public Library, and as such the provisions of the Prevailing Wage Act shall be complied with in all applicable work to be performed at the Library (www.sycamorelibrary.org). Bidding documents which include Construction Manager 's Scope of Work Notes, Architect 's Project Manual and Plans, and Addenda 1 and 2, will be available electronically on Friday, March 16, 2012.
