This project involves rehabilitating the historic 124 ft-long Great Falls bridge over the Passaic Falls.

The project includes abrasive blast-cleaning and recoating structural steel surfaces with an organic zinc-rich primer, an epoxy intermediate and a polysiloxane finish; brand specified is Ameron (PPG). The existing coatings may contain lead. The bridge was previously rehabilitated in 2004. 

The project also includes removing certain sections of existing fencing on the bridge and replacing them with new fencing, and the replacement/repair of designated bridge structural members.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Great Falls Bridge site in Paterson. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend.
