The United States Bureau of Reclamation will accept sealed bids on January 15th, 2010, for spillway bridge repairs at Shasta Dam, a concrete gravity arch dam across the Sacramento River approximately 12 miles northwest of Redding, CA. The project, which is limited to Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business contractors, includes cleaning and recoating the superstructure, bearings, catwalk supports, and attached utilities on the spillway bridge. The ARRA-funded contract, which includes containment of heavy metals in the existing coatings, has an estimated cost of $1-5M.
