Cosmos Comprehensive Construction, Inc. of Canal Fulton, OH, was awarded two contracts by the Ohio Department of Transportation to recoat existing bridges, including a contract of $778,991.87 to recoat 43,479 square feet of steel on one bridge and a contract of $1,259,163.90 to recoat 92,415 square feet of steel on five bridges. The steel on all six bridges will be coated with an organic zinc primer, an epoxy intermediate, and a urethane finish. The project also includes applying an epoxy-urethane sealant to 491 square yards of concrete and a silane penetrating sealant to 694 square yards of concrete under the single-bridge contract.
