The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, will accept sealed bids in late May for finish work in an existing 6,400 sq ft poultry housing facility. The facility is part of the Avian Disease and Oncology Laboratory at Michigan State University. The project includes installing FRP wall and ceiling panels, repairing cracked concrete floor surfaces, and coating the repaired flooring with a non-skid epoxy system. The project also includes cleaning and painting new and existing piping, doors, and exposed items with various alkyd, waterborne epoxy, and latex finishes. The contract includes option items for additional finish work, including painting of exterior wall surfaces.

Did a contract ever get accepted for this industrial flooring project? If so, what kind of floor was put in? My employer is installing a new floor in the next couple weeks and I was curious if it was the same contractor.

Per our Premium Results archive, Robbert Construction was awarded $232,670 for the job. The specs called for a non-skid epoxy system, with Dudick and Dex-O-Tex listed, though the owner was willing to consider equivalents.
