South Bay Sandblasting and Tank Cleaning to Resurface Ammo Ship Decks

South Bay Sandblasting and Tank Cleaning, Inc. of San Diego, CA, was recently awarded a contract of $118,203.75 to repair and recoat existing deck surfaces on the USNS Flint, stationed at the 32nd Street Naval Station in San Diego, CA. The 564-foot-long vessel is one of the Military Sealift Command’s four ammunition ships. The contract, which was set aside for Small Business sources, includes removing and reinstalling non-skid coatings on the 01 level and main deck aboard the ship.
