The City of Tallahassee, FL, will accept bids July 10 for exterior painting on three fuel storage tanks at its Sam O. Purdom Generating Station.

| Built in 1952, the Purdom Plant can generate up to 301 megawatts of power. The facility is located on 63 acres along the Saint Marks River 20 miles south of Tallahassee. |
The project involves cleaning and coating the exterior of three carbon steel fuel storage tanks in St. Marks, FL. The tanks measure:
• 60 feet in diameter and 42 feet tall (21,460 bbl/665,260 gallons);
• 120 feet in diameter and 40 feet tall (80,580 bbl/2,497,980 gallons); and
• 45 feet in diameter and 40 feet tall (10,770 bbl/333,870 gallons).
The steel will be coated with a high-solids epoxy primer and a high-solids polyurethane finish. SSPC-QP 1 certification is required.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting is set for June 19. The city released no estimate for the project.
