The City of Round Rock, TX, is accepting to bids to build a new, non-functional replica of the water tower at Dell Diamond field.

Must Mimic Distinct Design
The project, for which the city has budgeted $100,000, involves designing a new replica of a prominent water tower.
The existing tower provides brand recognition from its distinct design, and the city seeks to mimic that design at the Dell Diamond stadium to further enhance that branding.
Bids open March 12. Interested firms must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting that will be held Feb. 28. Installation is anticipated to begin no later than Nov. 1, 2013, with completion no later than Jan. 31, 2014.
The new, non-functional elevated tank, will be 50-feet-high with a bowl diameter of 15 feet, will be made of steel or an alternate material and will include painted lettering on two sides.
The replica should also mimic the original tank’s “witches hat” roofing, “round belly,” and four-leg design, according to the owner’s specifications.
Proposal Requirements
Proposals should convey project understanding with an approach and management plan, as well as a timeline, a cost proposal and statements of past performance and relevant experience.

The stadium is built on 85 acres on the east side of Round Rock and features 8,688 seats with room for nearly 3,000 additional fans on an outfield grass berm area. The Round Rock Express played their inaugural game at the stadium on April 16, 2000.
